he Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
ALL believers are waiting on the promises of God to be fulfilled in their lives, and in the lives of their friends and loved ones. But what do we do while we’re waiting?
The answer is simple. You Praise Him! You worship Him! You start living your life as if God had already answered your prayers. The problems that we face are simple opportunities for us to establish a purpose. What is the purpose? The bible says that we are not to be surprised at the fiery trials we are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to the entire world. The purpose of these trails is to make us partners with Christ’s sufferings!
Okay! I know that the last thing you want to hear is that your problems should make you excited and glad, especially when you’re dealing with some tough stuff. But remember, being anxious/worried about your problems, isn’t going to make you feel any better. God wants you to look at it from an eternal perspective. Everything that God allows to come into our lives, He is using it to mold us, to transform us, to even break us, with the purpose of making us like Christ.
I get it, our trials sometimes come in one after another, with no end in sight. But God is in control! And He doesn’t fall off of His Throne! That should give us such comfort and joy knowing that our sovereign Lord loves us and knows what we are going through, and is in control.
While we are waiting for that answered prayer for healing, for deliverance, for that Job, for financial relief, for the salvation of your loved ones, God tells us to continue to seek Him. Continue to be faithful; continue to walk humbly before your Lord because this too shall pass!
