Many seek the ruler’s favor, but justice comes from the Lord.
Proverbs 29:26
What is the cause of the turmoil we see? Believe it or not, it is injustice! Jesus warned us about a time when lawlessness will be rampant and the hearts of many growing cold. When people’s focus is placed on getting justice in this wicked world, the results is a heart that is unsettled, and they end up taking vengeance upon our own hands.
But why? Because people are seeking justice in an unjust system. They are seeking retribution from wicked Judges, who in turn take bribes. People don’t turn to lawlessness over night. It is a strong hold of anger, that has been built up for years. But again, this is not the way we as believers should respond. The word of God says that we should strive for peace with ALL MEN and not avenge people ourselves.
Believers now a days, have forgotten that Christ is our example. We have allowed the media and the world to dictate how we should respond to the situation that is happening in the world. The world has convinced many believers that waiting on God takes too long, and they must take matters into their own hands. And even worst, they encourage other believers to do the same.
The way of God is so opposite to the world we live in. Christ was beaten and whipped for our sins and yet, he never opened His mouth to complain. He became sin, whom knew no sin, so that through Him all might be saved. You see, there was injustice during Jesus’s time. There was division during Jesus’s time. There was racism during Jesus time, as well. But how did he respond to it? He went into prayer. He didn’t gather people to the streets to protest about it! Why? because he understood that the problem was, and still is SIN…. He came so that all would know Him and turn from their wicked ways. No one person is innocent in the eyes of God, for all have sinned and have fallen short from God’s glory. We must understand and make peace with the fact that God gives each man according to what we deserve, for his judgement are righteous. When we take matters into our own hand, and even rejoice when evil is payed with evil, God removes his hands.
Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall; don’t be happy when they stumble, For the LORD will be displeased with you and will turn his anger away from them. Proverbs 24:17-18
To conclude this blog. If you want peace during these times, always have the end in mind. Jesus warned us not to get entangled with the affairs of this world, but we are to expose darkness. Never forget that we are in spiritual warfare, and this is just the beginning of the things our eyes will see this year. God wants you to be at peace, and the only way to attain that is trust. Trust that no matter what happens to you, God has allowed it to get your attention. Trust that what you are going through God has allowed it to serve a greater purpose. Trust that no matter if this world is moving fast towards Hell, God has not appointed Jesus’s bride to wrath.
So why continue in turmoil, when we already know how all things end!?
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 2 Corinthians 4:8
Versus To Meditate On?
Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.
Proverbs 3:25-26
No temptation has come your way that is too hard for flesh and blood to bear. But God can be trusted not to allow you to suffer any temptation beyond your powers of endurance. He will see to it that every temptation has its way out, so that it will be possible for you to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Matthew 24
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12
And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
Isaiah 1:15
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:24
